Find a new favorite with these Epcot must-do experiences that are off the beaten path. Though underrated, these attractions and experiences are not to be missed.
Of course, everyone knows about the major attractions at Epcot – Soarin’, Test Track, and Frozen Ever After, but you might have missed some of these underrated experiences at Epcot that always make our ‘Must Do’ list:
Underrated Epcot Must-Do Experiences
Living with the Land
This little unassuming boat ride is our favorite ride at Epcot. It’s very interesting to see innovations in agriculture explored in such an accessible way. You’ll actually see food being grown to serve around the parks. If you want to dive a little deeper, check out the Behind the Seeds Tour – a one hour walking tour through the four greenhouses in Living with the Land.
You’ll get to visit the fish farm during feeding time, release ladybugs into the greenhouse, and discover gigantic fruits and vegetables and unusual crops from around the world.
SeaBase at The Seas with Nemo and Friends
There’s not just another gift shop at the end of the Seas with Nemo and Friends attraction – it’s a full blown aquarium! You can discover sea turtles, angelfish, dolphins, rays, sharks and more in the 5.7-million-gallon aquarium. In fact, there are over 4,000 sea creatures!
You might catch scuba diving cast member cleaning the tanks, see a fish or (my favorite) a manatee feeding, or listen to talk from a cast member in charge of taking care of the sea creatures. There is also a little playground themed around the sharks from Finding Nemo. You’ll find Turtle Talk with Crush on the bottom floor. We can spend hours in here – especially if it’s raining or very hot outside.
Spaceship Earth
Did you know there’s actually an attraction inside Epcot’s big ball?
Spaceship Earth opened along with Epcot in 1982. It’s a leisurely ride through history where you’ll encounter the Greeks and the Phoenicians, see the influence of inventions like the printing press and the television, and even get a glimpse into Steve Job’s garage.
The ride is narrated by Dame Judi Dench and at the end you can play in a showcase introducing the latest in high-tech medicine, transportation, energy efficiency.
Voices of Liberty
This group of acapella singers tucked inside The American Experience pavilion is absolutely amazing. They perform classic patriotic tunes several times a day. It makes the top of my ‘must do’ list every time I visit Epcot. Here’s an insider tip: don’t sit at the benches around the outside of the room.
Sit right on the outside of the circle in the middle of the room. The most incredible sound will come from under the rotunda.
Epcot Character Spot
I don’t know if this counts as an underrated attraction because the wait is always super long. But I have to mention it because this is one of the only spots you can catch Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy in their classic outfits (you know, those iconic red and white polka dots).
It’s a tier two attraction, so it’s definitely worth a FastPass+ if you family members would like to meet some of the Fab Five.
Those are our favorites, but there are so many more! Share your favorite underrated Epcot must do experiences in the comments below!
