Looking for something to do in Disney Springs with your family? Here’s a list of free things to do in Disney Springs.
Whether you have some time to spend on your travel day or have a day off in the middle of your trip, Disney Springs is a great option when you don’t have tickets to the parks. It can feel a little overwhelming (and expensive), so I thought I’d share some free things to do at Disney Springs.
Free Things to do in Disney Springs
Play Legos
You can build a custom LEGO car and race it outside of the LEGO store.
They even have some LEGO Duplos inside for the younger set.
You can also spend a few minutes walking around looking at their displays – they have some really fantastic sets available.Don’t forget to marvel over Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Hulk, and the Loch Ness Monster.
Splash Pad
On our last vacation, we had some time on our departure day but we weren’t heading to the parks. I packed my daughter’s swim suit and she played in the spraying fountains at Disney Springs. Toddlers love jumping around in Splash Pads, so it’s a great way to spend some energy before getting on a plane. Note that the ground around the splash pad gets really hot, so make sure they have some flip flops or water shoes.
Dig in the Sand Pit
Just outside of T-Rex restaurant, kids can dig for fossils in their sand pit. Just tell the attendant your kiddo would like to play and they’ll usher you through.
Build a Lightsaber
At Star Wars Trading Post, you can design and build your own lightsaber. Of course it costs money if you’d like to take it home, but it’s completely free to build one. Just make sure to be courteous and put all the pieces back where you found them when you’re done.
Grab a Chocolate Sample
They hand out free chocolate samples at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. They also sell sundaes and shakes, which are expensive, but sharable and delicious.
Take Pictures
There are several cute photo ops throughout Disney Springs if you just look for them. They change some of them out for the seasons, but you’ll find lots of your favorite Disney characters to snap a picture with.
Listen to Live Music
A few restaurants frequently offer live music like Ragland Road and House of Blues. There is also a stage set up in the middle of Disney Springs where we have found student bands and even a live DJ.
